Vilnius has one of the largest baroque old towns in Europe, and this route covers it in about 5 km, starting a little to the east at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, plain outside and covered inside in thousands of white stucco figures. The Hill of Three Crosses and the red-brick Gediminas Tower give the views over the town, and below them the white cathedral stands apart from its bell tower.

Pilies Street, lined with amber stalls, leads past the arched courtyards of Vilnius University to St Anne's, a Gothic church in red brick. Across the little Vilnia river lies the bonus stop, the bronze angel of Užupis, a district that declared itself a republic with its own constitution, posted on a wall in many languages. The route ends at Town Hall Square and the Gate of Dawn, whose chapel window looks down on the street. The climb to Gediminas Tower is short and steep; there is also a funicular.
