Seville's route winds through the old town and across the Guadalquivir to Triana, about 6 km on flat ground. It starts under the Metropol Parasol, the giant wooden mushrooms on Plaza de la Encarnación, then heads to the Casa de Pilatos and into the narrow lanes of Santa Cruz to the tiled benches of Plaza de Doña Elvira. The Real Alcázar's Lion Gate and the Giralda above the cathedral are a few steps apart.

Plaza Nueva and the Maestranza bullring lead to the Triana Bridge and the bonus stop, the Mercado de Triana, built on the foundations of an old castle. Back across the river, the twelve-sided Torre del Oro guards the bank, and the route ends at the great brick arc of Plaza de España. In summer, walk early or late: afternoons regularly pass 40°C.
