Paphos is a harbour town in western Cyprus where the whole archaeological area is on the UNESCO list, and this route covers it in about 6.5 km. It starts at the church of Agia Kyriaki Chrysopolitissa, beside the column where St Paul is said to have been tied and flogged, and reaches Saranta Kolones, a ruined Byzantine fortress named for its forty columns. The fishing harbour leads to the small square Paphos Castle at the end of the mole.

The Archaeological Park holds Roman villas with some of the finest mosaics in the Mediterranean, including the House of Aion, and the stone Odeon sits beside the lighthouse above the sea. The bonus stop is the Tombs of the Kings, rock-cut tombs by the sea north of the harbour, and the route ends at the Ottoman Hamam by the market in the upper town. Bring sun protection: there is little shade in the archaeological sites.
