Ayia Napa is a resort town on Cyprus's south-east coast, famous for its beaches, and this route of about 10 km links the best of them with the old village and the sea caves of Cape Greco. It starts at the marina tower and follows the coast west to Makronissos Beach and Nissi Beach, where a sandbar joins a little islet to the shore. In the old village centre, the Venetian-era monastery surrounds a fountain court, and the Thalassa Museum covers the island's relationship with the sea.
The fishing harbour and its lighthouse lead east along the cliffs to the sea caves and the Love Bridge, a natural limestone arch, and the bonus stop, the open-air Sculpture Park on the clifftop. The coastal path is exposed, so in summer walk early or late and carry water; the town's buses run along the main road if you need to skip a stretch.
