Glasgow's route follows the Clyde from the West End to the East End, about 10.5 km through Victorian grandeur and Mackintosh design. It starts at the Riverside Museum, Zaha Hadid's zigzag-roofed transport museum, and heads into the West End for the red sandstone Kelvingrove Art Gallery, free to enter, and the Gothic spire of the University of Glasgow. Back by the river, the silver SEC Armadillo is the city's concert venue.
In the centre are the Glasgow School of Art on Renfrew Street, the Gallery of Modern Art, where the Duke of Wellington's statue has worn a traffic cone for decades, George Square and the City Chambers. The medieval cathedral leads to the bonus stop, the Necropolis, a Victorian hill cemetery with views over the city, and the route ends at the People's Palace and the Doulton Fountain on Glasgow Green. The subway's single loop links the West End and the centre.
