Constanța is Romania's port on the Black Sea, built on the site of the Greek and Roman town of Tomis, and this short route covers its old quarter in about 3 km. It starts at the Archaeological Park, where Roman ruins lie in the open, and passes the Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration to Ovid Square, where a statue of the Roman poet, exiled here two thousand years ago, stands in front of the history museum.

The Carol I Mosque has a minaret you can usually climb for a view over the port, and the green-roofed Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul stands close to the sea. On the promenade, the grand Art Nouveau Casino and the small Genoese Lighthouse face the water, and the route ends at the bonus stop, Tomis Marina. The seafront promenade is best at sunrise, when the sun comes up over the sea.
