Cannes is small, and this route covers it in about 4.5 km, from the old hill of Le Suquet along the Croisette to its tip. It starts at the bonus stop, Rue Meynadier, a narrow street of food shops, and the covered Marché Forville, the morning market where the city's restaurants buy their produce. The climb to Le Suquet ends at its old watchtower, with the harbour and the Lérins islands below.
The Old Port, full of fishing boats and yachts, leads to the Palais des Festivals, whose red-carpet steps anyone can stand on outside festival time. Notre-Dame de Bon Voyage is a small church beside it. The walk then follows the palm-lined Croisette past the white Carlton Hotel to the Pointe de la Croisette. Boats to the Île Sainte-Marguerite leave from the Old Port, a good half-day add-on.
