This walk of about 2.3 km crosses the Vltava once, by Charles Bridge. It starts on Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock, goes over the bridge and climbs through Lesser Town, past the John Lennon Wall and St. Nicholas Church, to the gate of Prague Castle. It stays outdoors all the way.
The kid stop is the playground directly under Charles Bridge, at the Lesser Town end, so children can play right after the crossing and before the Lennon Wall. The castle sits on top of the hill, which is why it comes last: the walk ends at its gate, with the guards and the fighting giants.

Tips for parents
- One family guide advises seeing Charles Bridge, the Old Town and the castle before 9–10 am, ahead of the main crowds, and says an almost empty bridge makes a very different impression on children.
- Younger children will enjoy the playground directly under Charles Bridge, this walk's kid stop.
- The historic centre of Prague is cobbled and uneven. One guide says a pushchair will manage, but to plan your routes accordingly.
- The figures of the apostles on the Astronomical Clock parade every hour. The same guide says that for children, the stories behind the clock matter more than the parade itself.
- A free public toilet with a baby-changing table is mapped about 50 m from the castle gate, at the end of the walk. It is marked as wheelchair accessible.
