Brighton & Hove's route follows the seafront from the Hove beach huts to the Palace Pier, then loops through the town, about 6 km on flat ground. It starts at the bonus stop, Hove Lawns, lined with colourful beach huts, and passes the Peace Statue at the border between the two towns. The slender i360 tower and the burnt-out skeleton of the West Pier stand side by side on the seafront.
Inland, the Jubilee Clock Tower leads to the colourful shopfronts of North Laine and the Brighton Dome beside the Royal Pavilion, a seaside palace with onion domes and minarets built for George IV. The Lanes, a maze of narrow streets of jewellers and cafés, open onto the Palace Pier. The route ends at St Bartholomew's, one of the tallest churches in Britain, towering over the terraces of Ann Street. Trains from London take about an hour.
